Firstly, how they are able to go back to 2300 BC, well…..I don’t have a clue.
The Below map shows every meteorite earth hit (fell or found) since 2300 BC and its interesting to know how USA in general had to take the grunt of the Meteorite shower (Once you will click the below link and see it enlarge you will know what I am talking about). With over 34,000 meteorite hits on earth its joyful to see we all are still living….or at least most of us. Equally I am surprised to see to less activities in Amazon and Russia.
Though, a recent Russia meteor that was about 55 feet in diameter, weighed around 10,000 tons, and even the largest reported meteor since the one that hit Tunguska, Siberia, in 1908, according to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration; seems to be rare one for Russia according to the map below.
Its also baffling for me looking at the picture is so less meteorite landing in the oceans. Are they not recorded or is it they make so less of damage that its not worth recording.
