The House Tells…..

Over the weekend standing at a plateau noticed a house that seems to be deserted for long. It was a mansion that must have seen its days of power, wealth and happiness. Now turned into a ruin and tells a story about itself. I am glad I had ears to listen, as every house quietly tells its tales but in this case they all have failed.

The house tells - I had tales,

But now it has all sailed….

The house tells – I had wings

But now I stand in a ding….

The house tells – I had people playing at my tail

But now it all stands fail….

The house tells – Kids have played in my arms

But now they look at me like a sham….

The house tells – I was the shining star

But now the going is hard….

The house tells – I have been bold

But now they have put me on hold….

The house tells - I had made people proud

But now they want me to keep out….

The house tells – I was the symbol of one

But now claimed by no one.

The house tells – I had family dinners

But now I am no more a winner

The house tells – I had my share of tributes

But now I am part of a dispute

The house tells – Every House has a tale

Some are pass while few are fail….
